Luxus Home and Garden® Named Finalist at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards 2026

We're very proud to share that Luxus Home and Garden® has been named a finalist for The Lloyds Leading SME Business of the Year Award at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards 2026.

The shortlist was announced on 15 July. Eleven businesses from across the UK are on it, and seeing our name among them made for a very good day in the office. For a company founded in 2020, it means a great deal.

What the award recognises

The Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards span 20 categories, and the organisers describe them as the UK's largest business awards programme. Our category, The Lloyds Leading SME Business of the Year, is open to companies with a turnover of up to £25 million.

The judges score each finalist in four areas: how well the business looks after its customers and its people, the quality of its leadership and ideas, its financial performance and growth, and its purpose beyond profit. Selling well is only part of it. A business also has to show that it is run properly and that it does right by the people around it.

What sits behind the shortlist

Every piece of Luxus furniture is designed by our own team in the Warwickshire countryside and made in our own facility in Indonesia, from SVLK and FLEGT licensed teak. It is a slower and more demanding way to work than buying furniture in, but it means we know exactly what goes into every table, chair and bench that carries our name. It also means the credit is widely shared. It belongs to the craftspeople who build the furniture, and to the team here who design it, answer the phones and plan the deliveries. Most of all, it belongs to our customers. So many of you have chosen Luxus for your gardens, and so many have taken the time to tell other people how it went. We never take that for granted.

Recognition so far

It has been a good couple of years for us on this front. In March we were named a finalist for SME of the Year at the British Business Awards 2026, which is a separate programme despite the similar name. Our founder, Matthew Lock, is a finalist for Sustainability Entrepreneur of the Year at this year's Great British Entrepreneur Awards, having been shortlisted for Retail Entrepreneur of the Year in 2025. We also won Most Trusted Home & Garden Furniture Retailer 2025 (London) in LUXlife Magazine's Home & Garden Awards, and Best Online Business at the Stratford Herald Business & Tourism Awards in 2024. What happens next

Judging takes place in London through September and early October, with every finalist presenting to a panel of judges. The winners will be announced at Grosvenor House on Tuesday 10 November.
