Rectangular Garden Tables

A rectangular garden table seats more people per square metre than any other shape, which is why most larger gardens end up with one. It also sits neatly against a wall or a hedge when it is not in use, in a way a round table never quite does.

Most of ours extend, so the same rectangular wooden garden table works for four on a weeknight and twelve at a party. Sizes start at a 120-170cm square to rectangular and run up to a 2-3m giant, with the Belgravia offering a fixed top and a more architectural look.

Every top is solid grade-A teak at 4cm thick, which matters more than it sounds: a thin top flexes when somebody leans on the end, and over a few seasons that is what loosens the joints.
