A rectangular garden table seats more people per square metre than any other shape, which is why most larger gardens end up with one. It also sits neatly against a wall or a hedge when it is not in use, in a way a round table never quite does.
Most of ours extend, so the same rectangular wooden garden table works for four on a weeknight and twelve at a party. Sizes start at a 120-170cm square to rectangular and run up to a 2-3m giant, with the Belgravia offering a fixed top and a more architectural look.
Every top is solid premium hardwood teak at 4cm thick, which matters more than it sounds: a thin top flexes when somebody leans on the end, and over a few seasons that is what loosens the joints.
Our 90cm square table seats four. The 120–170cm square-to-rectangular extending table seats four to six, the 180–240cm rectangular extending table seats six to eight, and the 2–3m rectangular extending table seats ten to twelve.
For a table and chairs supplied together, see our 8 seat garden furniture and 10 seat garden furniture.
A rectangular table gives the most usable surface for its footprint and sits neatly along a wall or the edge of a terrace. An oval table has softer ends, which makes it easier to walk around in a narrower space.
Compare the two in our oval garden tables collection, or see our round garden tables for smaller gardens.
Yes. The Belgravia Teak Garden Table is a fixed-size dining table with two fluted pedestal legs. It can be bought on its own, or with benches as the Belgravia Teak Garden Dining Set.
Our extending tables use a double-leaf system that gives three different lengths, and the size can be changed in seconds. That lets you keep the table compact for everyday use and open it up when you have guests.

Yes. Solid teak is rich in natural oils that resist rain, frost and rot, so a teak garden table can stay outdoors all year. Left untreated, teak weathers from honey-brown to silver-grey over six to twelve months; applying a teak sealer every 9 to 12 months keeps the original colour.
Our teak care guide explains both options, and a garden furniture cover helps keep furniture clean over winter.
Standard delivery is free on orders over £500 to most UK mainland addresses, and is a kerbside service. Our Premium Delivery service, where available, includes assembly and removal of the packaging.
Full details are on our delivery information page, and every table is covered by our one-year warranty.
