Oval Garden Tables

An oval garden table is the compromise most people are actually looking for. It seats nearly as many as a rectangle but loses the corners, so it is easier to walk around on a tight patio and easier to talk across at either end.

Ours extend, running from 180-240cm up to a 2-3m, with solid grade-A teak tops at 4cm thick. One is available with a lazy susan built into the middle, which is worth having on any table wide enough that the far end cannot reach the serving dishes.

If you are undecided between oval and round, the honest answer is that it depends on your patio rather than your table. Square spaces suit round, long spaces suit oval, and an oval wooden garden table is the safer choice if you ever seat more than six.
