Luxus Home & Garden® Is Heading to International Green Week Berlin

In January 2026, Luxus Home & Garden® will once again be attending International Green Week Berlin, one of the world’s most respected exhibitions dedicated to sustainability, agriculture, and responsible production. This year’s event marks a significant milestone, celebrating 100 years of International Green Week, bringing together brands, producers, and innovators committed to shaping a more responsible future.

For us, returning to Green Week is a continuation of an ongoing commitment rather than a one-off appearance. Following our participation in Green Week 2025, we are proud to be returning to Berlin to further contribute to conversations around sustainable materials, responsible manufacturing, and long-term product design.

A Global Event Built on Sustainability

For over a century, International Green Week Berlin has provided a platform for meaningful dialogue around environmental stewardship, ethical sourcing, and sustainable production. It brings together organisations that understand the importance of protecting natural resources while delivering quality, innovation, and longevity.

As industries move away from short-term consumption toward durability and accountability, Green Week remains a space where these values are explored in depth. Its 100-year anniversary reflects not only longevity, but continued relevance in a changing global landscape.

For Luxus Home & Garden®, Green Week represents a natural alignment with our manufacturing philosophy and material values.

Luxus Home & Garden®, Green Week

Why Green Week Matters to Us

Our teak garden furniture is designed with longevity at its core. Every collection is created to perform reliably outdoors for years, not seasons, and to be made using responsibly sourced and legally verified materials.

Our continued presence at International Green Week Berlin reflects:

  • A long-term commitment to responsible teak sourcing
  • Transparent, end-to-end manufacturing practices
  • A focus on durability over fast furniture cycles
  • Respect for forestry, craftsmanship, and sustainable design

Having taken part in Green Week previously, we understand the importance of this platform for sharing real manufacturing insight rather than surface-level sustainability claims.

Designed and Manufactured at Source

Luxus Home & Garden® designs and manufactures its furniture at source in Indonesia, allowing us to maintain oversight across every stage of the process. From timber selection through to final finishing, this direct involvement ensures consistency, durability, and quality control.

Indonesia has a long heritage of teak production and is home to some of the most strictly managed teak plantations in the world. Manufacturing close to these forests allows us to reduce unnecessary handling while maintaining material integrity.

At Green Week Berlin, we will be highlighting how this approach supports:

  • Stronger structural performance
  • Consistent material quality
  • Responsible forestry practices
  • Long-term value for customers

This transparency around manufacturing is central to the trust we build with customers across Europe and beyond.

Responsible Teak Sourcing and Certification

Sustainability built on verification, not assumption.

All teak used in the manufacture of our furniture is sourced from government-managed production forests in Indonesia and is fully certified. Our timber is:

  • FLEGT licensed, confirming legal harvesting, processing, and export
  • SVLK certified, allowing global sale in compliance with EU Timber Regulations

Indonesia is the first exporting country to mandate legal compliance under the FLEGT framework, helping to suppress illegal logging and protect forest ecosystems.

These certifications ensure our furniture meets strict legal and environmental standards, providing confidence to both partners and customers.

Sustainability Beyond the Supply Chain

Our sustainability commitments extend beyond sourcing alone. Luxus Home & Garden® supports Trees4Trees™, a reforestation initiative working directly with local communities in Indonesia.

Through this programme:

  • Trees are planted and monitored long term
  • Farmers receive education and technical support
  • Environmental restoration is paired with community development

This reflects our belief that responsible manufacturing should support both environmental and social sustainability.

Sustainability Beyond the Supply Chain

Designing for Longevity

One of the most meaningful sustainability decisions is to invest in furniture designed to last. Our furniture is created to age beautifully, develop character over time, and withstand prolonged outdoor use.

Teak’s natural resistance to moisture, temperature change, and weather makes it ideal for outdoor environments across Europe. Our manufacturing process enhances these properties through precision engineering, skilled assembly, and careful finishing.

At Green Week Berlin, we will continue to advocate for longevity as a core principle of sustainable design.

Returning to Green Week Berlin

Having attended International Green Week Berlin previously, we are proud to return during its landmark 100-year anniversary. The event provides an important opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions around sustainability, manufacturing, and responsible material use.

Luxus Home & Garden® looks forward to sharing insights, reconnecting with industry peers, and contributing to the ongoing conversation around the future of sustainable outdoor living.
